Surgery Equipment Sales iPad App

It seems like Pharma has a negative connotation in the agency world, but luckily I care more about the challenges of an individual project than the sexiness of a product line. A large, unnamable, biosurgery company develops innovative surgical products for laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures. These products get in the hands of doctors and nurses through direct engagement with a product representative. Given the hectic schedules of medical professionals, these reps often get ten minutes of the doctor’s time in the hallway of a hospital.

The app we designed allows the representatives to quickly present products by showing their practical application. Not just PowerPoint Lite, the reps and doctors can navigate the human body, based on the doctor’s specialty, and show adapted product recommendations and usages based on specific procedures and bleeding chalenges. We also designed additional tools, like the ability to draw on almost anything in the app, leading to potential teaching moments.

We created a staggering number of wireframes and a prototype used to sell the app to the company’s global subsidiaries. Because of privacy concerns, please contact me if you’d like to see work from this project.
